North Kigezi Diocese donated relief foodstuffs and other items to over 1600 families across Rukungiri District. The relief items included Maize flour, Rice, Beans, Groundnuts, and soap. This was done in partnership with the Diocese of Armidale, Australia. The relief donation comes to supplement the Government’s campaign to support vulnerable families and individuals to keep afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
The relief support also comes in alignment with the Diocese’s theme of the year 2020; Romans 8:35 ” Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?” And indeed, nothing shall separate us from the love of Christ, not hunger, not even COVID-19. North Kigezi Diocese continues to stand with the Government of Uganda and the whole world to fight against COVID-19. We shall rise from this together, safe and sound, God being our help. Stay safe! May God bless you!
We bless God for the leadership of Rt Rev.Benon Magezi and the diocesan administration for the work being down amidst this pandemic. Blessings and more!!
Glory be to Jesus for His servant Bishop Benon, the partners in Australia and for the Christians of our diocese.
Victory belongs to our God.
