NORTH KIGEZI DIOCESE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT.
Welcome to north Kigezi education department.
Education is the backbone of human civilization, since no single society is better than her education thus for a community to grow it must work on its education. It must be holistic that appeals to social, economic, spiritual, physical, emotion to mention.
In order to produce quality and quantity assets not liability. As a team of education department we are working around the clock to make ends meet. Daily morning prayers and devotion ,retreats and conferences ,health and sanitation inspections debates and sports in addition to class work. we do it for enriching our fruits.
The parents are equipped with knowledge of parenting through their association meetings (though we still have setbacks with the parents, since some homes are even child headed and other challenges ).our head teachers and teachers are hard working and positive to work though not all. The government supports education in the diocese through grant aiding.
The diocese is doing inspection in all schools every term to see the progress of the school.
Currently North Kigezi has 96 primary schools which are grant aided and about 10 private nursery and primary schools, 17 secondary schools three tertially institutions. One Bible College and ladies vocational training centre. The diocese has other private schools which are not grant aided. The education department does roles accorded to it by both the education Act 2008 and COU EDUCATION POLICY 2016.
The diocese as the foundation is responsible for ensuring proper management and therefore has a hand in implementation, monitoring and evaluation
